During my six years at Harper’s Bazaar, I had the privilege of commissioning and editing work by celebrated writers including Samantha Irby, Sloane Crosley, Tommy Orange, Mira Jacob, Michelle Zauner, and Fariha Róisín, as well as by influential figures such as activist Dasha Navalnaya, model and diversity advocate Bethann Hardison, and human rights advocate Amanda Nguyen. I also conducted and edited As Told To interviews with figures including Senator Anita Hill, Representative Ilhan Omar, chef and artist Laila Gohar, and artist Shirin Neshat. In addition, I conceived and directed editorial packages, from Bazaar’s tentpole roundup of rising cultural icons to its annual Voices list highlighting the most crucial and impactful individuals of the year.
